Behind the scenes of flipping homes!

Many people watch an episode of HGTV on flipping houses and expect to find a house tomorrow, close on it the next day, complete the work in three days, and sell the house in fifteen minutes of being on the market.

I, with extensive personal experience, am here to tell you that is not the case AT ALL. Flipping a home is not rocket science. You are not going to sit around doing calculus (although you had better do your math upfront on the investment) for hours to complete the project. However, you WILL have to dedicate an enormous amount of time to finding the RIGHT property to flip, getting it closed, completing the never ending work, AND getting it sold. I find many people that say, "we inherited this property" or, "I knew someone who gave me a great deal" and go on to say, "I am going to flip it myself". Before you ask, yes I have bought the property from these individuals after they started the work and got in over their heads.

At WestCar Properties, we have the systems, processes, and vendors in place to run a flip smoothly and effectively. AND, even though we have those systems implemented, we still find ourselves learning valuable lessons from time to time that humble us.
